Senior Electrical Designer

• Ten to twenty years of experience in the design of electrical power systems in a steam and power generation plant
• Highly proficient in AutoCAD Skills including experience using the latest version of AutoCAD
• Specific experience working for an EPC firm involved in steam and power projects would be a PLUS
• Engineering/Design Degree and Field Verification experience a PLUS

Initial Test Program AP1000 Technical Lead

At least 4 years of experience in the preparation and execution of ITP procedures and testing for an AP1000.  Experience requires participation in major testing activities such as Cold Hydro Test, Hot Functional Testing and First Plant/First Three Plant Only Tests for AP1000.  Additionally, operational experience is desired (SRO or RO) License or Certification.

Backgrounds in testing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, I&C (digital), and HVAC systems and components. Must have experience using Microsoft Office products (particularly Word, Excel, & PowerPoint). Must have leadership experience to develop a testing team.

 

Civil Designer

  • High school degree (required) and technical degree (preferred) for sitework drafting, which includes grading plan design, stormwater management and design, erosion control planning and design, and coal combustion by-product disposal facility layout and design (landfill design).
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in sitework drafting and design.
  • General knowledge of erosion control and stormwater requirements for the Georgia Environmental Protection Division, Alabama Department of Environmental Management, and Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality as required for preparing erosion control plans.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Highly Proficient using AutoCAD Civil 3D for sitework and earthwork drafting. TerraModel experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop material takeoffs for cost estimates including earthwork volumes and other sitework related items.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse team environment. Must be organized, have good communication skills, be able to work well with others to reach a common goal, and be willing to proactively coordinate with other design disciplines to resolve engineering related issues.
  • Self-motivated team player

Civil Engineer

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with experience in Civil Sitework design that includes grading plan design, stormwater management and design, erosion control planning and design, and coal combustion by-product disposal facility layout and design (landfill design) associated with preparing construction drawings.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (in Civil) a plus.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in sitework design.
  • Working knowledge of erosion control and stormwater requirements for the Georgia Environmental Protection Division, Alabama Department of Environmental Management, and Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality, as required for preparing erosion control plans.
  • Highly proficient using Hydraflow Express, Hydraflow Hydrographs, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis, as well as Microsoft Office products. HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS a plus.
  • Highly Proficient using AutoCAD Civil 3D for sitework and earthwork designs. TerraModel experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce and review sitework drawings and design documents including specifications and calculations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop scope definitions, schedules, and material and work hour quantities for cost estimates.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse team environment. Must be organized, have good communication skills, be able to work well with others to reach a common goal, and be willing to proactively coordinate with other design disciplines to resolve engineering related issues.
  • Self-motivated team player.

Transmission Line Engineer – Electrical, Civil/Structural

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering

Experience: 3 years power utility experience

Equivalent Experience: Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with at least 5 years of experience in transmission planning, protection, construction, maintenance, reliability, and/or operations with a power utility

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: Valid Georgia Driver’s License, ability to pass ITS qualified operator training course, ability to pass NERC CIP personnel risk assessment screening

Specialized Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and graphics; experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, large databases and/or Microsoft Access.   Experience with PRiSM software or similar desirable.

Civil Engineer

Electrical Designer

  • Experience in Power Plant, Paper Mill, Steel Mill, or similar industry
  • Detailed knowledge of DC System Design principles (preferably Flooded Cell Battery systems design)
  • Design experience in Battery sizing, DC cable sizing, Inverter and Charge

Maintenance Rule Coordinator

  • Bachelor of Science from an ABET accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 8 years of operating nuclear plant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Equipment Reliability
