Job Requirements:

 

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with experience in site development and design that includes grading plan design, hydrology and stormwater management and design, roadway design, and erosion control planning and design associated with preparing construction drawings. Demonstrated ability to produce site development drawings and design documents including site grading plans, stormwater design, erosion control plans, specifications, stormwater calculations, and construction quantity estimates. Professional Engineer License a plus. Minimum seven (7) years of experience in site development and design. Experience and solid understanding of survey data and how it is required to perform a site development design as related to producing construction plans. Experience and solid understanding of erosion control design. Knowledge of the requirements for the Georgia Environmental Protection Division, Alabama Department of Environmental Management, North Carolina DEQ, and Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality for preparing erosion control plans. Proficient use of Microsoft Office products. Experience and solid understanding in using AutoCAD Civil 3D, or other similar software, for producing grading plans, site development construction drawings and other sitework related drawings and designs. Experience and solid understanding in stormwater design using AutoCAD SSA (Storm and Sanitary Analysis), Hydraflow Hydrographs, Hydraflow Express, HY-8, or other similar stormwater management software. Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse team environment. Must be organized, show initiative, have good communication skills, be able to work well with others to reach a common goal, open to feedback, and be willing to proactively coordinate with other design disciplines to resolve engineering related issues.
